Position Overview:
Mexia State Supported Living Center is seeking a qualified and compassionate Dentist to provide comprehensive dental care to residents with intellectual disabilities. This role involves delivering high-quality clinical services, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team under the supervision of the Dental Director.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide general and advanced dental care to facility residents and select community-based individuals

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using electronic health/dental records

• Develop and document treatment plans, including justification for irreversible procedures

• Implement best practices to ensure safe, effective patient care

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes

• Utilize digital dentistry tools and technology

• Ensure compliance with CMS, HHSC, and facility policies and procedures

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Active, unrestricted Dentist license in the State of Texas

• Current DEA registration (unrestricted)

• Valid National Provider Identifier (NPI)

• Proficiency in electronic health records and computer systems

• Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Certifications Required:

• Current BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association)

• All certifications must remain active during the assignment

Additional Requirements:

• Must pass required drug screening and fingerprinting

• Must complete all HHSC and facility-required training

• Must comply with immunization requirements

• Adherence to all facility, HHSC, and staffing agency policies
