Position Overview:
Mexia State Supported Living Center is seeking a qualified and compassionate Dentist to provide comprehensive dental care to residents with intellectual disabilities. This role involves delivering high-quality clinical services, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team under the supervision of the Dental Director.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide general and advanced dental care to facility residents and select community-based individuals

Maintain accurate and timely documentation using electronic health/dental records

Develop and document treatment plans, including justification for irreversible procedures

Implement best practices to ensure safe, effective patient care

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes

Utilize digital dentistry tools and technology

Ensure compliance with CMS, HHSC, and facility policies and procedures
Qualifications & Requirements:

Active, unrestricted Dentist license in the State of Texas

Current DEA registration (unrestricted)

Valid National Provider Identifier (NPI)

Proficiency in electronic health records and computer systems

Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Certifications Required:

Current BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association)

All certifications must remain active during the assignment
Additional Requirements:

Must pass required drug screening and fingerprinting

Must complete all HHSC and facility-required training

Must comply with immunization requirements

Adherence to all facility, HHSC, and staffing agency policies
